BOOTH EVENT - A world with(out) PFC, dream or reality?

Durable water repellence technologies have made tremendous progress. Responsible chemical leaders have moved away from C8 perfluorinated compounds (PFC) to much safer alternatives such as C6-based PFCs and, in more recent years, the most sustainable technology available to date: fluorine-free solutions. While there is much focus on further developing fluorine-free chemistry, there is still a long way to go before such solutions can equal the performance of PFCs. These therefore remain vital in essential applications such as medical wear, technical applications, combat or firefighter uniforms and other high-performance workwear.
