Business Update regarding COVID-19
Dear Partners,
First of all, we hope that you and your loved ones are all safe and sound, wherever you are.
As we have entered a new phase of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, with the second wave surging in Europe and other regions still trying to curb the curve, we would like to give you short update on the situation at Archroma.
As always, our first priority remains to minimize the probability of the virus spreading among Archroma employees, partners and visitors.
We continue to apply our internal measures and guidelines as well as those required by local authorities, in particular:
After 10 months of managing the situation, we can see that our protective measures are working and effective.
We have had a few cases, of course, but significantly below the general population infection rate, allowing us to safeguard our people, and maintain our operations and our service levels.
Archroma continues to actively support manufacturers of face masks and medical protective equipment. Our barrier and antimicrobial products in particular continue to be in high demand, and we are assisting our customers in this sector by providing technical know-how and support.
We are also supporting packaging & paper producers who are facing a steep increase in demand for food packaging as many restaurants have switched to delivery or take-away, as well as for parcels and boxes supporting online shopping.
In order to ensure business continuity, we continuously monitor the availability of raw materials and freight carriers, as well as ports and airports operations, aiming to maintain the continuity of our operations and activities as much as possible in the current situation.
We are constantly reviewing our customers’ and partners’ needs, with the goal to keep you informed and to serve you to the best of our capacity. In this context, we strongly advise you to provide forecasts as accurate as possible, so that we can serve you to the best of our ability in these uncertain times.
Whilst we see some tension reappearing in supply and logistics, the experience of the past 10 months makes us confident that our teams and processes have the resilience and experience required to deal with the constantly evolving situation.
From a financial and cash flow perspective, Archroma remains committed to meeting our obligations to our suppliers, creditors and tax authorities. We therefore continue to apply our current pricing and payment term policies, as well as our collection procedures to avoid possible defaults, and will continue to monitor and take action as needed to meet above-mentioned objectives.
We count on your support and understanding, and we are convinced that, together, we will overcome these challenges and turbulent times soon.
Your regular Archroma contacts remain fully available via the usual communication channels, should you need any information specific to open orders and supply.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
Warmest regards,
Your Archroma team
