BUT DID YOU KNOW:
- Under abrasion conditions Lyocell creates micro fibrils on the surface that can be used e.g., to create a desirable and special hand feel (peach skin) and appearance
- But the fibrillation must be controlled to avoid formation of pilling/fuzziness, shade change or greying becoming visible after multiple washes
- Conventional treatments for fibrillation control can release formaldehyde and degrade the strength of the fiber
